Win Clothes Show Live tickets!

Exciting news I have two tickets to giveaway to the Clothes Show Live next Saturday 2nd December! I am really looking forward to attending for the 8th year in a row, and hopefully will manage to get all my Christmas shopping done in one day (fingers crossed!) The bargains you can get on male & female clothes and jewellery alone are really worth the £27 ticket fee, I managed to pick up many items last year much cheaper than the high street and a much better choice!

This year the UK’s premier fashion and beauty event returns with an array of top celebrity guests and a brand new team of expert gurus, including international model Max Rogers and celebrity hairdresser Jamie Stevens, to make 2011’s show the most glamorous and interactive yet. I am looking forward to seeing some of the cast of TOWIE at the show (in particular Joey Essex!) Clothes Show Live in association with Suzuki is the UK’s largest fashion and beauty event featuring over 500 leading fashion and beauty brands to shop from, a 6500-seat Fashion Theatre and countless celebrity appearances over six days – it’s the ultimate girl’s day out! Whether shoppers are looking for a brand new winter wardrobe, presents for friends, spot celebrities or watch a fast paced catwalk show, Clothes Show Live is the number one destination.

Tickets!

Clothes Show takes place from the 2-7 December 2011 at Birmingham’s NEC. Visit www.clothesshowlive.com  for more information and tickets. If you aren’t going yet, make sure you buy your tickets now!

To enter my competition just make sure you are following me on my blog and leave a comment below with your name & email address. Good luck! I will get in touch with the winner next week!

Trip to the Clothes Show Live

I had a great day at the Clothes Show Live on Saturday and as usual, returned with a very full trolley full of goodies! I definitely found this year much less stressful, as I would guess the bad weather kept a lot of people away so it was not as hectic.

I didn't get all my Christmas presents but managed to pick up quite a few items of jewellery from several gorgeous jewellery stands. I bought some gorgeous customised necklaces for my mum and sister from London designer Leonie Saliba who normally sells her products at Portobello and Spitalfield Markets.

For £12 she beautifully customised necklaces for my mum and sister, letting them choose the charms they liked. I would post photos of their individual necklaces but they are all wrapped up ready for Christmas!

This year the Clothes Show also boasted it's very own Stitch and Bitch knitting session! My work colleagues are all into knitting and this is something we often host at lunchtimes!

If you get a chance, make sure you visit tomorrow as it's the last day! The best bargains of the day were the Jelly Pong Pong goodie bags - two for £12! The items inside included this gorgeous Shadow Taffy worth £15!

Let me know if you visited the Clothes Show and what bargains you got!

The Clothes Show Live Birmingham

Last Saturday I went to the Clothes Show Live in Birmingham, which was amazing but very busy as you can see from my photos! As you may have heard on Twitter I have broken my fingers playing netball so am finding it really hard to type and write at the moment so it will be a brief review and lots of photos instead!

The show was excellent (despite a very rude steward who worked at the NEC making us move seats mid-show!) and was set to a Winter Wonderland theme, which included a lot of half-naked, yummy men to the delight of the screaming girls in the crowd. My favourite area of the show was the Pink Zone, which was where all the beauty stands where. I particularly enjoyed seeing Tara Smith styling a competition winner's hair and offering her expert tips. Jeff Brazier was also there for Reveal Magazine, although they were not giving away or selling copies of the magazine… weird! I also love the Jelly Pong Pong goodie bag that were £12, which is a great way to try out new products at a much cheaper price! I was gutted that All Saints weren’t there as I got some good bargains last time, maybe they will be back next year! I got some really nice clothes in the Purple Zone, which was so busy all day with people everywhere – I think that they let too many people into the show as I don’t remember previous years being so busy. The Clothes Show in London was so much nicer and quieter, cooler and in an excellent venue unlike the NEC which I dislike more and more every year!

Anyway I managed to get some nice, individual presents for Christmas and recommend anyone who loves bargain fashion and beauty buys to visit in London next year (4th – 6th June 2010) or Birmingham (3rd – 8th December 2010).

Eyeko

I came across a great new brand called Eyeko at the Clothes Show Live, that had some great offers to try out their products.

Eyeko means LOVE in Japanese and is the brainchild of beauty innovators Max and Nina Leykind who began the collection in 2000 with the Eyeko cream, which was created for girls to perk up their skin counteracting the draining effects of staring at their computer screens, late nights and city life.

My favourite product was the 3-in-1 Cream (£5) , which is a moisturiser, highlighter and eye cream in one! It contains skin-perfecting light reflectors and antioxidant Vitamins A& E plus a Vitamin C boost for a radiant, clear complexion. It goes on really smooth and smells a bit like E45 cream with a faint fragrance. Definitely should be used before applying make-up for a radiant look! You can buy Eyeko products in Superdrug and all are reasonably priced - I am looking forward to trying out a few more...!

Fantastic day shopping at the Clothes Show Live!

So I am back from the 20th anniversary Clothes Show Live and have had a great day shopping and enjoying a great catwalk performance, with the Saturdays in it!

Armed with my trusty trolley, I hit the Juicy Couture stand first, as it's my favourite bit about the Clothes Show..well usually it is! NOT this year! We queued for 1 hour 15 minutes, which was crazy as I have never waited for that long before. The products on offer were not worth the wait and were obviously from last year or before. There were no purses, limited tracksuits and actually had more products on sale for dogs than women it seemed!!! Anyway, despite the negative start, the Clothes Show lived up to it's usual success and is definately worth a visit for some Christmas presents!

My favourite zone is always the pink zone - for beauty addicts like myself! But here are my top five purchases of the day:
  1. Gorgeous dresses from Closet (managed to get £15 off lush black/brown dress)

  2. Ben Sherman watches and belts from Intercity Watches (£5)

  3. TIGI Bedhead products - 5 for £35

  4. Jelly Pong Pong make-up goody bag (£12) - gorgeous products at a bargain price

  5. Diamente clutch bags from a stand I can't remember the name of - £5!

Biggest disappoints - don't bother wasting your time!

  1. Juicy Couture (looooonnnng queue! and not many products on sale compared to last year)

  2. All Saints - soooo messy and couldn't work out what was on offer and how much it was!

  3. Rimmel make-up - was it actually on offer???

  4. Company magazine selling out before I could get one :-(

All in all, I had a brilliant day as I always do at the Clothes Show and can't wait until next year for the show in London - 29-31 May 2009!! I WILL BE THERE! If you haven't yet gone to the show, get down there for some last minute bargains as there will be loads!

The Clothes Show Live...is nearly here!

I am soooo excited about the Clothes Show Live, which takes place at the Birmingham NEC, from 5 to 10 December 2008.  The best deals from last year, which I hope will be there this year are: Tigi Bed Head products, Jelly Pong Pong make-up, Bourjois Make up, All Saints, Juciy Couture, Lipsy and Lambretta for guys. I will be stocking up on Christmas pressies for all my family as last year I managed to get all of them in one trip! I will be also be bringing my trolley as I couldn't carry everything last year!

There is also an added bonus this year of The Style Show, which is presented by my favourite beauty site Handbag.com. Tickets are on sale now for £24 and are available from the box office on 0844 579 3178 or online at www.clothesshowlive.com and includes entry to both shows.
