Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess summer collection

Hope you all had a lovely Easter break! I had a great time visiting the beach, sunbathing, BBQs and lots of chocolate and managed to get a nice tan thanks to 25 degrees in Southampton every day! I also tried out my lovely new products from the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess summer collection to enhance my natural tan after a hard day at the beach sunbathing!

Here is a brief intro from Estee Lauder about the collection. It’s written beautifully so I won’t bother trying to say it in my own words!

This summer, let Estée Lauder transport you to the Mediterranean with the latest seductive Bronze Goddess collection of makeup. Inspired by the hues and atmosphere of luxurious resorts on the Riviera, the collection invites you to sit poolside and take in the cool waters, warm sand beaches and sun’s luminous rays. Experience the casual luxury and seductive spirit of a goddess with shades that sparkle, shimmer and shine for eyes, lips and nails, while face and décolletage are transformed into golden, glowing perfection.

I thought I would write about my favourite two products from the collection, which are a must have if you are looking to update your summer make-up collection. Inspired by hues from the surf and sand, the NEW Limited Edition Bronze Goddess Island Oasis EyeShadow Palette (£31) of six irresistibly wearable shades brightens and defines eyes by day and transforms them by night. The eyeshadows’ delicate iridescent pigments allure with radiance and luminosity in warm sand shades of copper, bronze, gold and coral balanced by cool surf hues of turquoise, seashell pink, silver and seaweed. The pigment quality as you would expect from an Estee Lauder eyeshadow is excellent and lasts a long time plus you only need to apply a small amount so this palette will last ages. It’s also a great palette to take on holiday as you have a variety of colours to match many outfits throughout the holiday!

Inspired by long walks on the beach and treasured mementos from the sea, NEW Limited Edition Bronze Goddess Sea Star Bronzing Blush (£29) is a beautifully-crafted, feather-light illuminating blush that enhances any skin’s bronzed complexion with a perfectly warm sun-kissed glow. Featuring an artful starfish resting on a shimmering sand-inspired background, the silky, soft powder bronzing blush gives skin a naturally radiant, smooth, sun-kissed finish. Colour-true and with buildable coverage, this unique bronzing blush enhances your natural cheek colour with an added touch more summer radiance with every stroke.

This has been really popular amongst other bloggers and it doesn’t fail to disappoint. My favourite bronzer ever is the Soft Shimmer bronzer from last year’s collection, so I have worn the Bronzing Blush on top to give an extra shimmer/blush to my cheeks. The blush is quite intense so you don’t need to go overboard when applying, otherwise you will look very rosy! So if you have pale skin then I’d say this might be too heavy for you.

The products will be available in stores from 2nd May and I think they will be a real winner like all of Estee Lauders’ previous summer collections. Let me know what you think!

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess collection

I love last year's Bronze Goddess collection, especially the limited edition bronzer which is a firm favourite of mine so was really excited to be given the chance to check out the new collection. Estee Lauder describe their new collection as:

"Exotic, eye-popping colour and seductive bronze radiance create a sensuous look. Skin is luminous. Eyes sparkle with bold, metallic hues. Bright lips beckon. Take a walk on the wild side."

My first impressions are I love the gorgeous bright colours, even if the wild coral shade is a bit too adventurous for me (maybe on holiday!) I love the wild orchid colour in the lipgloss (£15) and nail varnish (£12), so these two products are a definite favourite of mine and match perfectly with all my summer outfits. I am also intrigued by the limited edition Eau Fraiche, which is a sensuous, sun-drenched blend of Bergamot and Mandarin, cooled with Tahitian Gardenia Petals and Coconut, warmed with Amber, Sandalwood and Vetiver. I haven't had a chance to try this out yet as the weather has been so awful all weekend but I will definitely be packing this in my holiday suitcase at the end of the month.

Has anyone else tried out the new collection - so far I am loving the bright colours for summer (when it returns!!) I also really want to try out the Bronzing blush as well as it looks gorgeous.

My review of the best of suncream for all budgets!

Hi guys hope you are having a lovely weekend and enjoying the sun! I've had a great day with my friends and family celebrating my birthday (which is tomorrow!) I spent the afternoon sunbathing in the garden and topping up my post-Turkey tan, so thought I would write about my favourite suncare products for this year that I recommend.

Best value suncare - Nivea have a great value product range and I am a big fan of their sun sprays as they as soon easy to use on the beach. Their latest range is caled Invisible Protection and is completely invisible funnily enough, so no more white streaks when you come out of the water!

Best natural suncare - a great brand called Aloe Pura have a lovely SP15 suncream and aftersun that smell delightful and contain Aloe Vera, Avocado, Jojoba, Chamomile, Lemongrass and Sweet Almond! They are available at Think Natural here for under £10 and leave you skin really smooth whilst protecting it.

Best luxury suncare - Clinique has created a whole new range of suncream which is out in June. Formulated with Clinique’s NEW Proprietary SolarSmart™ Technology, it contains a unique blend of photostable sun screens designed to help skin defend itself from UV assault. I recommend the new SPF 15 Face and Body Cream  (£14.68) for comprehensive cover this summer.

Most innovative suncare - The new Skinny Beach SPF 15 suncream works to immediately firm, lift and tone the body and also adds a natural sheen to skin - and protectsyou from the sun - what a combination! So you don't need to worry about missing the gym, as this cream helps combat cellulite!! It's a little more pricey than the others and is available from SpaceNK here.

Best post suncare product - Estee Lauder have a fantastic new range out for summer called Bronze Goddess which has a great variety of gorgeous products for the summer. My essential item is the Post-Sun Hydrator (£19.57) Prolonger that hydrates skin, soothes and replenishes with Aloe Butter and contains self-tan to maintain your sun-kissed glow day after day. Great for ensuring your tan doesn't fade as soon as you step off the plane! Let me know what you think of the products and what you have tried out!
