Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint review

I have timed my review of Liz Earle’s Sheer Skin Tint to perfection, as their first step into colour launches tomorrow!

I featured the news about the Sheer Skin Tint last month here and have been trying it out for the past month alongside my new fav Garnier BB Cream. Liz Earle has spent three years carefully creating a high performance make up must-have, which leaves skin looking dewy, even and radiant. When applying to my skin, however it feels quite heavy and the smell is quite overpowering. It also doesn’t rub into my skin as easily as the Garnier BB Cream, which is a real shame as I love silky moisturisers. On the plus side it is suitable for all skin types and contains mineral UV protection SPF15 which is a must-have for me. The coverage is very natural looking and excellent for a tinted moisturiser, however for me the texture is just too thick for my dry skin so I am not sure I would repurchase for £21.

Sheer Skin Tint is available in three shades: Bare 01 for fair skin tones, Beige 02 for medium skin tones and Beach 03 for medium to dark skin tones. Another nice touch from Liz Earle is a sample of all three shades will be sent with your order to help ensure you have chosen your perfect colour match. I recommend if you have oily skin and don’t like shiny moisturisers (like the Garnier BB Cream) as I think it will be perfect for you.

What do you think? Have you tried the Sheer Skin Tint and how does it compare to BB Creams?

MAC Hello Kitty Collection is here!

I have read so much about MAC's latest collection Hello Kitty on loads of beauty blogs so have been desperate to get my hands on some to try out & review!! The limited-edition collection consits of colour, finishes, glitter and shine and is availble in 'mild' or 'wild' - love it!

The eye palette I tested was called Lucky Tom (£30.34) and included these four colours: Stylin- a violet blue with pearl, Lucky Tom - charcoal brown with gold pearl, Creme Royale - gold, Pardisco pink- coral with golden shimmer. All are usual MAC high-quality and look great for a wild night out! My favourite product of the collection though has to be the Beauty Powder Blush (£14.68), which is currently sold-out on the MAC website. I love the gorgeous Hello Kitty packaging and the shocking pink colour that looks amazing on your cheeks for a springtime look! I imagine this range will be a cult-classic for a long time to come!

Check out the website for more details but most products look like they have sold-out already! So you better hurry up and get down to your nearest MAC stockist ASAP before it all goes!

New Elemis Pro-Collagen Body Serum Intensive Lift

I am not exactly that old (22 to be precise) but I am always interested in trying out products that promise to restore skin firmness and elasticity to instantly tighten slackened skin (like mine hehe)

Ok here's the science bit - Elemis Pro-Collagen Body Serum Intensive Lift (£45) is a non-sticky, easily absorbed gel-serum formulated with an anti-ageing Peptide combined with Acacia, Paracress and the revolutionary Padina Pavonica to stimulate the fibroblasts (network of skin fibres) to speed up cell-communication and production of Collagen and Elastin. What's really lovely is to apply the serum after a shower, so your skin is left feeling soft and super smooth. This beautiful Serum has the subtle aroma of Rose and Mimosa, the renowned signature scent of the Elemis Pro-Collagen Body range. Love it! Of course to see the 'real' effects you need to use for much longer but initally I am v impressed!

It's not available in-store or online until February 2nd so you have to wait until then! But for now check out the full range of Elemis products at Time to Spa

JR Watkins Apothecary

In keeping with lovely smelling products, you must try the luxurious J.R. Watkins Apothecary shea butter body creams that are now available at Superdrug! J.R Watkins have been around since 1868 range in the US and have some great nostalgic pharmacy packaging. Through using all-natural botanicals, oils and extracts, J.R Watkins beautifully blend nature and science to produce superior quality products. My favourite product is the lemon cream (£5.99) that smells delicious like lemon meringue pie... :-)
